Is there a way to add HTML to .php file and having it so any new updates don’t override it?

Yes change the version number to 9.9.9 in photospace.php

So if I change the version # to 9.9.9 in photospace.php, I can change gallery.css and it won’t be overridden on a new update?

Changing the version stops the plugin from updating at all.

If you put css changes in your theme css ( that override the plugin css ) this won’t be over written by the plugin updates.
