Add media files error message

Hello,

I don’t know what version I am using!

I will explain what I was doing and what has happened. Up until now I have had no problems using my blog.

I wanted to put an astore on a page on my blog. I put the code in the html editor and clicked on visual. It showed up in the editor but before I could preview the page the astore had disappeared. I couldn’t get it to show up again.

So, I thought I would put a clickable image instead as second option. I could not upload an image. i got this message come up:

“Add media files from your computer
Unable to create directory /home/sarahswr/sarahswr-www/wp-content/uploads/2010/10. Is its parent directory writable by the server?”

I tried refreshing and uploading a different image, but I got the same message. I have not got a clue as to the answer as I do not understand what it means or why it has suddenly occurred.

Can anyone tell me what has happened and what I should do. I am not au fait with any of this. I just use the blog.
