 * Hello-
    I rebuilt a large ColdFusion website database of worldwide lakes in WordPress
   and now I am trying to get Yoast XML sitemap to recognize a large portion of
   urls that are built with query parameters to define the specific geographical
   region the url pertains to.
 * For example, this page is automatically showing in the Yoast XML sitemap built
   in Yoast:
    ***[https://lakelubbers.com/largest-lakes-by-acreage/](https://lakelubbers.com/largest-lakes-by-acreage/)
 * but this page is **not **in the sitemap (along with hundreds of other geo-specific
   locations)
    ***[https://lakelubbers.com/largest-lakes-by-acreage/?lakes-in=virginia&lid=6444](https://lakelubbers.com/largest-lakes-by-acreage/?lakes-in=virginia&lid=6444)
 * I have about 3,900 urls built in this way that used to have a strong organic
   search presence, but now I’m afraid that the urls have been rebuilt this way,
   I will lose the ability for Google to see them and continue ranking.
 * Is there a way to force Yoast to recognize these? Or can I build an additional
   xml sitemap with these urls and submit to Google alongside the one Yoast creates?
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fadd-query-string-parameters-to-sitemap%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)
   to see the link]_

 * Hello Jenchurch,
 * Thanks for reaching out regarding your sitemap.
 * On checking [https://lakelubbers.com/largest-lakes-by-acreage/?lakes-in=virginia&lid=6444](https://lakelubbers.com/largest-lakes-by-acreage/?lakes-in=virginia&lid=6444),
   this looks like an internal search result page. I understand that you will like
   this to be included in a sitemap.
 * Anyway, items in the Yoast-generated sitemap are created automatically if they
   belong to content types (post, page, product) or taxonomies (tags, categories).
   Do your URLs built with query parameters to define the specific geographical
   region fall under any of those kinds of content mentioned?
 * We look forward to hearing from you.

 * Hi [@maybellyne](https://wordpress.org/support/users/maybellyne/) Thank you for
   replying. The urls are built using Toolset Blocks which allows you to create
   custom searches for any content type — in this Virginia url example, the page
   is returning the following:
    - the custom field information (acreage)
    - from the custom post type (lakes)
    - from a specific taxonomy (virginia&lid=6444) _‘lid’ is a cross reference to
      taxonomy ID_
    - and sorting them in numerical order
 * There are roughly 650 location taxonomies and 6 custom fields of info needed
   to display. This equals the 3900 urls that I’d like to make sure get indexed.
 * So I guess you can say that
    [https://lakelubbers.com/largest-lakes-by-acreage/?lakes-in=virginia&lid=6444](https://lakelubbers.com/largest-lakes-by-acreage/?lakes-in=virginia&lid=6444)
   is a search result of the PAGE [https://lakelubbers.com/largest-lakes-by-acreage/](https://lakelubbers.com/largest-lakes-by-acreage/)
   which essentially has all the lakes in the CPT.
 * Is there a solution to add this type of url to a sitemap?

 * Thanks for the feedback. It’s getting clearer.
 * You mentioned that the URLs are built using Toolset Blocks. Can you share the
   URL to this plugin?
