 * Is it possible to add a shortcode to the **Content Tab** for the **HTML to add
   before the content** section?
 * I’m trying to add a line with Last Updated Post in a custom category, but the
   shortcode shows raw ( _[last\_modified]_ )
 * Using: [Last Modified Timestamp](https://wordpress.org/plugins/last-modified-timestamp/)
   on WordPress 4.9.5

 * Let me put that on the list of things to do. I’m not sure how easy or expensive
   it tends to be to implement a shortcode.
 * Might be something to do via a filter like how you can get shortcodes to run 
   in text widget
 * It will require a rewrite of the plugin but I think that would work well.
