Add video support to basic carousel gallery

Is is possible to add a video into a basic carousel gallery? If yes, how can I achieve this?

I purchased the pro version of NextGen Gallery.

I already tried with ShadowBox and NGG Video Extend (both plugins haven’t been updated in more then 2 years). This doens’t seem to work.

I loaded the shortcode in my description.

However this string is just getting displayed instead of it’s playing a video.

Does anyone have an idea on how we can add a video? Do I need another plugin?
