# Adding a client area?

 * Hey ive been using Joomla for a while now and i’ve decided to switch over to 
   WordPress.
 * My main issue with switching over is the need to client access. Here is what 
   i wanna do.
 * I wanna offer a service to my customers which they can login have their own section
   where they can create a support ticket, question, and the option to purchase 
   more options/services and pay for those services.
 * I know its not really well explained but im sure someone will know what im talking
   about.
 * I guess i could also mention im a web developer. LOL

 * Sounds like you will need to write yourself a plugin. Take a look at the Codex
   [documentation](http://codex.wordpress.org/Writing_a_Plugin) and try a few things
   out. I would also suggest looking at how to password protect certain pages. Finally,
   [Gravity Forms](http://www.gravityforms.com/), with their PayPal integration,
   might be worth looking at as well.

 * Thanks i think a plugin is the way to go im just not 100% on my next move i will
   work things out and if all is good? Who knows i might release the plugin for 
   other to enjoy
