But i hope that finally – we can fix this issue and cope with the challenge.

HI @th7tobi ,
We ddo have an open issue to add the Salary field to WPJM, but it’s not as easy as it may appear (see this issue for more details): https://github.com/Automattic/WP-Job-Manager/issues/1320
That said, the tutorial you pointed to should work (and does on my test site), so I’d try:
1) – make sure the code snippet is in a plugin like Code Snippets (https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/code-snippets) rather than functions.php. That will ensure that it isn’t overwritten during updates, won’t crash your site/cause unexpected behavior if it’s entered incorrectly, and you can also enable/disable it at will.
2) It’s possible that there might be a conflict with one of your current plugins or your theme.
Try disabling all of your plugins except WP Job Manager. Then try testing again to see if the issue persists. If that resolves your issue, you can find what was causing it by enabling each plugin one by one while continuing to test.
If that doesn’t help, you can also try switching to the Twenty Twenty theme via Appearance > Themes, and test again. If the issue is resolved then you know it’s a problem with the theme, and you’ll need to contact the theme author for further assistance.
Best,
Cena
