# Adding Button to RTE

 * Hi there,
 * I am looking for help to add a simple button in the default WP2-RTE-Buttonline.
   
   It is supposed to open a window with a list of Quick-Tags and add this Tag (something
   like “[date=1234]”) to the Edit-DIV.
 * All the Plugins I checked out eather didn’t add a button without errors or their
   code was way to complex. There must be an easy way to extend the RTE!?
 * Hope sb can help me which Hooks or Actions I have to use…

    thanks for this link. I didnt know that this exists and just wondered
   what it was when seeing it in other plugins source…
 * Unfortunatelly it doesnt work for me. Nether the example of ButtonSnap nor the
   Version used by MyGallery…
 * Are there other ways?

 * Fixed the problem. Buttonsnap works fine now. Great class!
