Adding CSS Background to an element in a post?

    One of my guest contributors uses a table for her posts. In the right hand column, in each row, there should be a background image. She had been using “style=”background…” but WordPress strips it out when she saves it.

    I tried adding a custom CSS class for each element and calling for the background image using that. No luck.

    Is it possible to display a background image for an individual element within a post?
