# Adding ID DOESN’T WORK.

 * I am adding an ID to a text field to assign a label using the instructions here:
 * [https://contactform7.com/text-fields/](https://contactform7.com/text-fields/)
 * I add the ID using the exact formatting, and the whole input field disappears.
   So it doesn’t work. It’s broken.

 * What I just said is if I do this:

 * The form field breaks and doesn’t display. Period.
