# Adding JS to WP

 * I made a quick HTML5 slide show. It consists of:
    – 3 Javascript files – 2 CSS
   files – 1 HTML file (references the other files)
 * I uploaded them to the Media Library. When I opened the HTML file it didn’t work.
   It just went to the attachment page.
 * How do I run this slide show?

 * Create a Child Theme: [http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes](http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes)
 * Then put those slide show files inside of your Child Theme folder.
 * Then you can link to the HTML file from another page.

 * Are there any security risks to making a child theme. I think that it doesn’t
   get updated when the regular theme is updated right?

 * A Child Theme inherits from the parent theme, so no that’s not right.
