 * Hi David,
 * I’m trying to add a meal option as described in the link above. I suspect that
   has been superseded by a Gutenberg revision.
 * I see on my form for an Event, Options/Custom fields and there I find a meal
   option which I select. When I click edit and update that option, there’s a yellow
   flash but nothing else. The page does not change.
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fadding-meal-option%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)
   to see the link]_

 * I do recommend switching to the Gutenberg form builder, which is where I’m putting
   most of my attention. While I intended to maintain compatibility with the shortcodes(
   particularly for people who have existing events and templates set up to use
   them), I see that there does seem to be a glitch with how the old shortcode format
   for meal choice works.
 * You could go into code editor mode and paste in your edited version of this code
   block (which should work even if you have Gutenberg disabled):
 * `<!-- wp:rsvpmaker/formradio {"label":"Meal","slug":"meal","choicearray":["Beef","
   Chicken","Vegetarian"],"guestform":true} /-->`

 * If I figure out what’s broken with the shortcode, I’ll put out an update

 * I have the Block Editor enabled for that page with RSVP Form:3397 showing.
 * But I don’t see how to enable the meal option nor do I see your dialog to make
   that happen.

 * I should also say that we have two tanker planes in a circuit to dump red stuff
   on a wildfire about a mile away and a helicopter picking up water in a large
   bucket from our golf course pond. The wind is gusting to about 60 mph currently.

 * I have the meal option enable correctly for the Guest(s) so I assume I add a
   separate radio series for the User?

 * Stay safe, John!
 * In the block editor, you can click the + button to add a new block and search
   for “radio” to find the RSVPField Radio Buttons block.
 * The options are set in the sidebar.

 * When you add a form field to the main form, there is an option to specify that
   it should also be displayed in the guest form. I recommend doing it that way
   if you want the meal choice to show up in both places: main form and guest form.
 * It is possible to set fields that show on the guest form ONLY, by embedding them
   within the guest form block. Example: Registration for parent and children, where
   the form for the children (registered as guests) asks for their grade level.
   We don’t need to prompt the parent for the grade level.

 * Great!
 * That works exactly as I want it to.

 * Hello,
 * Is it also possible to show this option when people click on the ‘Show participants’
   button? E.g. when a note is entered, it will appear in the attendants list, can
   the meal option also be showed here?
 * Thank you in advance
    Niek
