# Adding meta fields

 * Hello,
    I’m trying to add some custom fields to the tablepress custom post type,
   namely “Data source” and “Data source URL” meta fields.
 * Seems like the TablePress custom post type editing pages are not implemented 
   in the classic WP way and I couldn’t manage to show the new fields there.
 * Could please someone give any hint or example on how to add and show custom fields
   on Tablepress posts?

 * thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.
 * You are right, TablePress does not use the regular custom post type editing screens.(
   It is however possible to show these using a TablePress Extension: [https://tablepress.org/download/extension/tablepress-debug.zip](https://tablepress.org/download/extension/tablepress-debug.zip)).
 * Showing such values on the TablePress admin screens is not possible.
