# Adding New Plugins From Repository

 * Getting the error “An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with 
   WordPress.org or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems,
   please try the support forums.”
 * This is across all my sites. I’m unable to install a new plugin from, or even
   search, the repository. I’m not sure what the cause is. Previous iterations had
   no issues with the plugin repository.
 * Currently running WP 5.8.2 (fairly vanilla installs) on PHP8.0.x
 * Is anyone else seeing this?

 * What does Tools>Health Check tell you ( I’m guessing but possible some required
   PHP modules are missing )

 * problem was solved. it was in the repository itself. perhaps their servers were
   down. thanks
