# Adding new 3rd party widgets

 * Hi,
 * Does anyone know how to add a new widget. ie a third party one to wordpress 2.5.
 * I have tried a few things but just get the default ones.
 * Any ideas?

 * Widgets are just fancy plugins. Which means you upload them into the wp-content/
   plugins folder and then go the the PLugins page in your admin to activate them.
   
   After activation they should show up in the Widegts page.
