 * I was wondering if there is a difference if I add products to my menu by selecting
   the actual products or by creating pages and then adding the single product shortcode
   to them, and then adding these pages to the menu.
    Love to have any input on
   this!

 * Yes there is a difference. If you want to link to a product you should use the
   product and not a page with a shortcode.

 * Thank you, could you maybe explain what the difference is and why it is advisable
   to link to the product?

 * Hey,
    the product page is going to have the full details and images. Are we talking
   about the same thing? Your referring to the single product page right? For example:
   [http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue/product/mountainware-hoodie/](http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue/product/mountainware-hoodie/)

 * Hi,
    yes, I am talking about the full product page, but with this code it is
   also included: [product_page id=”99″] I am just wondering because if I create
   a special page and put that code on it, I can easily add other things to that
   page, too. If I want to add other stuff to thee actual product, I would need
   to set up special functions. But I don’t know if there are any issues with performance,
   SEO and the page having a different ID than the product if I create a separate
   page?

 * Ok, in that case yes you can certainly use a shortcode. It won’t negatively effect
   your SEO, performance and doesn’t matter about page id. I was only trying to
   help you from having to build all these pages but if you need to for adding items
   and you don’t want to use custom functions you will be fine using the shortcode.
   The major negative is more things to manage.
