# Adding "Read More"

 * Hello All,
 * I know this has been posted before, but I just don’t quite understand the language
   involved. I am very beginner at all of this. I have read this: [http://codex.wordpress.org/Customizing_the_Read_More](http://codex.wordpress.org/Customizing_the_Read_More)
 * I am trying to add a “Read More” or “Continue Reading” button to my homepage.(
   [http://www.bigholetrout.com](http://www.bigholetrout.com)) It currently displays
   an excerpt of the most recent blog post. (Someone else added the “More Posts”
   button for us). The only way to continue reading the post is by clicking on the
   title to the post, which isn’t very obvious for everyone.
 * I tried using the simple button included on the page where you write your post,
   with no luck. Any advice, or easy ways to add this?
