Adding Search Bar to Map

Hello! I am building a page for a client using your plugin to display a KML file showing the location of their properties. They would like the map to include a search bar so the user can enter their own address and see what properties are near them. Is this possible? I read through the manual and tried adding dirshowsearch=”true” to the shortcode, but it didn’t appear to have any effect.

The client is new to using KML files, and this is the first time I’ve ever had to interact with them. I believe their KML file has some problems that I’ve been unable to diagnose thus far, which I mention because I’m not sure how related a fully working KML file is to being able to get the search bar to display. Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated.
