# adding second widget categories duplicating the posts

 * Hi,
    I’m new in this blog thing. I have a blog site about health. I dragged “
   categories 1” from widgets to the sidebar and wrote some posts to that category.
   Then I wanted to create a new category and dragged categories 2 from the widget
   boxes to the sidebar under the first one. But all the posts that I’ve sent to
   first one appears on the second one, as if the categories were duplicated. How
   can I solve the problem? I want to put different posts in those two. Thanks…

 * You create new catagories by going to the dashboard (login to the blog first)
   and clicking on “manage” then “categories.” The widgets are for displaying the
   lists of existing categories, not creating new ones.
