Hi @dina99,
I’m not 100% sure I’m following here, and I’d love to understand your request properly so we can provide the best possible help for you!
Do you wish to simplify the process of setting the shipping areas in the back end, or do you wish to simplify the process for the users to enter their shipping details on the front end? Did you know you can set up Geolocation within your general settings? https://woo.com/document/configuring-woocommerce-settings/#general-options.
Looking forward to your reply!
Thanks!
Omar
The website I work with is based in Egypt, and the city of Cairo has multiple locations and areas with various shipping costs of each area. Woocomerce just lets me choose Cairo; I can’t choose the location or the areas to add the shipping costs for each item.. For example, if I go to Ikea checkout page ”https://checkout.eg.ikea.com/en/checkout?checkoutStep=IrwValidateUser,” it will first ask for the governorate and then, depending on my selections, the area of this region or governorate will appear with different shipping fees.i want this option
i want the user to select cairo and based on the selection the areas of this city will appear
I hope you got my point
Hi @dina99,
Thank you so much! I’m understanding better now.
You can further customize your shipping areas after selecting Cairo, click below to limit to specific ZIP codes: https://prnt.sc/-J4xa6TQuMz1, then you’ll be able to enter as many zip codes to further customize your shipping zones more granularly: https://prnt.sc/xNa4JpUjZa64. You can create multiple shipping zones for Cairo, each with its own set of ZIP codes to manage and set shipping costs for each that way.
Would this work for you?
Yes, it is already known to me, but I would like to include the name of the area rather than the zip codes as the area has multiple zip codes, it is preferable for the customer to choose the name rather than the zip number, and each area has a separate shipping fee.
Hi @dina99,
You can use the Table Rate Shipping or WooCommerce Advanced Shipping plugin.
This plugin allows you to create your own shipping rates based on conditions, including location. You can set up different shipping rates for different areas within a city, which could solve your issue.
Alternatively, if you want a more tailored solution, you might need to consider hiring a developer to create a custom solution.
I hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions.
