Adding Sidebar to a static page

    Newbie here!

    When i select a static homepage, the Widget for my sidebar goes away.

    When I don’t select a static front page, I get the Widget:sidebar, but I loose the ability to add the ‘Widget:Home1’

    How can I use a static home page and NOT LOOSE my sidebar?
