# Adding specific Categories via shortcode

 * I am trying to display certain product categories using the [product_categories
   number=””] shortcode.
 * I have tried entering the category number between the “”, to no effect. It still
   displays all categories.
 * What I am trying to do is display different categories using multiple instances
   of the shortcode. For example:
 * I want the first instance to show : CatA, CatB, CatC.
    and another to show CatD,
   CatE, and CatF.
 * Could somebody provide guidance? (preferably not involving coding, as I am not
   too familiar with coding, lol.) I’d appreciate it! Thanks.

 * Actually the number field is for how many products to show, not which category
   you want to show. You would want to add ids=”” and list the categories you want
   to show separated by commas.
