 * When I add a subscriber to a newsletter list. Do they get a notification sent
   to them that they have been signed up?

 * I think this is a duplicate to the one I just answered, but I will post the answer
   here as well.
 * When you manually add a subscriber to a list it marks them as active and does
   not send them a notification. You can configure double opt in when they sign 
   up using the sendpress widget. If double opt in is enabled they will get a verification
   email before they are marked as active on the list.
