 * Hi,
 * I am new to WordPress and have a domain at one.com. I managed to install wordpress
   with there managed solution (1 click) and chose a theme to just get started.
   I quickly realized that I have only about 10 themes to choose from and none of
   them are very appealing.
    Everywhere online it says that one should be able to
   add themes by choosing themes, add theme in the menu but I do not have such an
   option. Can someone guide me on this? is it just not possible to have another
   theme? It seems a bit strange to me.
 * best,
    Maria

 * mariawerner,
 * Log in to your WordPress administration by visiting your-website.com/wp-admin/.
   Within WordPress admin, go to Appearance > Themes. This lists all the themes
   installed. To add themes, click the “Add New” button near the top. Use the searching
   features to find themes you like, then click the “Install Now” link.
 * Another way is to browse [http://wordpress.org/themes/](http://wordpress.org/themes/),
   find a theme you like, note the theme name, then install it from within WordPress
   admin.
 * Yet another way is to search the internet for “WordPress themes” and find a theme
   you like. Most of these themes will be “premium” which means they cost around
   $50 to $100. Buy the theme, download it to your computer, then go to WordPress
   admin > Appearance > Themes > Add New > Upload.

 * Hi,
 * thank you for your answer. The thing is that I do not have the option Add new.
   It seems one.com which is my hotel only has certain themes that are ok if I use
   there instalaltion. If i want to use other I have to do my own instalaltion of
   wordpress ( which I have no clue how todo).

 * I contacted support at [http://www.one.com/en/](http://www.one.com/en/) and they
   said they allow any WordPress theme. You might want to contact support at your
   web hosting company.
 * If your web host does not allow a wide variety of WordPress themes you might
   consider changing to a different web host. Most web hosts have a “one click”
   WordPress installation which then allows choosing any theme.

 * Hi,
 * here the support sais that with the one-cklick installed it is optimized for
   speed and security to not allow adding any theme. But if i do my own installation
   i should be able to. I think it is not really nice. Saying that they have a very
   good solution with the one-cklick installer, and that installation does not allow
   you to add themes…
    Not the best start for me, or my view of one.com at least.
 * thanks again.

 * I contacted support at [http://www.one.com/en/](http://www.one.com/en/) again
   and you are correct. Here’s what they said: “You cannot install your own theme
   using the Managed WordPress. You have to manually install wordpress if you want
   to install your own theme or plugin.”
 * You could find a website developer to install WordPress for you (installing WordPress
   is quick and easy) or switch web hosts.
