adding to icon/funtionality visual editor

    Hi,
    I am fairly new to wordpress plugin development. i hope i am on the right forum list. I want to add a functionality nearly like image upload dialog box but with browse button and upload/insert into post. I don’t know where to start from. any help or direction on how to?
