# Adding YouTube Plugin from rane|CODE??

 * Ok, I want youtube on my site and it seams everyone here says to go to raneCODE.
   I downloaded the plugin and now I’m having a little trouble installing the youtube
   plugin… where do I put the files? In the Plugins folder? Do I make a new folder
   to put the files in and name it “YouTube” in the plugin folder? I’m sorry but
   I’m new at wordpress. If you can help me I’ll realy appreciate it. Thanks!

 * TYPICALLY – you take the unzipped download (usually just a folder or just a .
   php file) and put it in the plugins folder. If it’s just a .php file, you only
   need to put it in the plugins folder and then go activate it. Since I’m not familiar
   with the plugin, I’m not sure how many files are with it…

 * There isn’t a folder and there is 11 files (php’s and others). If you want to

 * okay – when i unzipped, it went right into a folder called “mytube” which then
   had two folders inside – one named “mytube” and one named “rane”
 * from what i can tell, you only need to take that 2nd “mytube” folder and put 
   it in your plugins folder – the “rane” one is irrelevant
 * CORRECTION:
 * “Make sure you uploaded the accompanying
 * rane
 * directory as well as the directory containing the plugin. “

 * Wow, that’s weird. I tried it again and it extracts all the files into one directory.
   Can you tell me which files are in each directory please?

    mytube.js mytube.php thetube.php ytube.php ytube_admin.php ytube_thumb.
   php license.txt
 * rane –
    index.html ajax.js common.php wp.php license.txt
 * try uploading the two folders separately to the plugins folder – if that doesn’t
   work, put them both into a folder named “mytube” and upload that.
