# Adding/Removing Users & Blocking IP

 * How exactly do I remove a user? I don’t see any controls on how to do so, or 
   maybe I missed them. Please help!
 * Also, how do I hide the IP addresses in the “Manage” area, that’re shown under“
   Comments”? Because when users login, and click “Manage,” they can see a member’s
   IP address next to the comment(s) that member posted.

 * Remove as in delete? A user they must first reside under the Registered Users
   section in Users > Authors & Users. This means ‘authors’ would have to have their
   level “demoted” to 0.
 * Note that deleting a user deletes their posts. In that case it’s smarter to A.
   demote them to level 0 so they can no longer post (changing their password will
   lock them out, if needed) or B. demote to 0, edit their posts and assign to another
   author, *then* delete the user.
