I am getting SEO errors as there are 2 x <meta name=”description” on all my pages. One is added by RankMath which is correct, the other additional one is added by Product Feed PRO.

How can I disable the PFP meta addition?

    Many thanks

  • Hi,

Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us.

Our plugin doesn’t make changes to the source of your webpages, let alone add meta descriptions to your pages. What makes you think this is coming from our plugin?

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

As explained earlier, I have two instances.
The first is intended using the RankMath SEO plugin so that the meta name is included for search engines.

<!-- Search Engine Optimization by Rank Math PRO - https://rankmath.com/ --><title>Websites Vs Social Media</title><meta name="description" content="Explore the crucial role of websites vs social media in modern business via our dedicated blog post helping you decide where to focus your digital efforts."/>

and I have also the following which from the code you can see is added using your plugin.

<!-- This website runs the Product Feed PRO for WooCommerce by AdTribes.io plugin - version 13.0.1 --><meta name="description" content="'Explore the crucial role of websites vs. social media in modern business. Uncover the pros, cons, and ROI of both strategies for effective online visibility.'">

I know you are not accountable for anything RankMath adds to the page code, but the double of the <meta name=”description” is causing some issues for me.

Is there anything you can advise to omit this entry from your plugin?
I want the RankMath one to stay as it appears at the top of the page with the other relevant post details like keywords etc.

    Many thanks.

Only this part is coming from our plugin:

<!-- This website runs the Product Feed PRO for WooCommerce by AdTribes.io plugin - version 13.0.1 -->

The second part is definitely not coming from our plugin: <meta name=”description” content=”‘Explore the crucial role of websites vs. social media in modern business. Uncover the pros, cons, and ROI of both strategies for effective online visibility.'”>

It falls after the comment opening the acknowledgment that the plugin is enabled, then adds the following:

    <!– This website runs the Product Feed PRO for WooCommerce by AdTribes.io plugin – version 13.0.1 –><meta name=”description” content=”'Explore the crucial role of websites vs. social media in modern business. Uncover the pros, cons, and ROI of both strategies for effective online visibility.'”> <noscript><style>.woocommerce-product-gallery{ opacity: 1 !important; }</style></noscript> <meta name=”generator” content=”Elementor 3.16.4; features: e_dom_optimization, e_optimized_assets_loading, e_optimized_css_loading, additional_custom_breakpoints; settings: css_print_method-external, google_font-enabled, font_display-auto”> <script type=”text/javascript”> !function(f,b,e,v,n,t,s){if(f.fbq)return;n=f.fbq=function(){n.callMethod? n.callMethod.apply(n,arguments):n.queue.push(arguments)};if(!f._fbq)f._fbq=n; n.push=n;n.loaded=!0;n.version=’2.0′;n.queue=[];t=b.createElement(e);t.async=!0; t.src=v;s=b.getElementsByTagName(e)[0];s.parentNode.insertBefore(t,s)}(window, document,’script’,’https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/fbevents.js&#8217;); </script>

Unless you are saying it comes from WooCommerce, which from tests it doesn’t seem to be?

It is definitely not coming from our plugin. That code is not even in the source of our plugin.

Thanks for the confirmation. You’ll forgive me for thinking it is as it is right after the <!- comment.

It must be coming via WooCommerce then if you are 100% sure it’s not from your plugin. More research is needed obviously.

Thanks again for the excellent plugin backed now I know by your excellent support.
