    I also have this problem and I’m going crazy!! I have just worked on my website very long and I was about to publish it when this went wrong. The website looks al scrambled and I can’t get to the login page!

    Can you please help me out, I need to have this website online by tomorrow, we already put word about it in the papers about the new website, please!!

    Yes, I found out how to fix it!

    I accidently changed my website URL, causing the wp-admin page to be redirected to a blurry homepage. Not being able to login, leads to not being able to fix what I did wrong!

    Sollution in short:
    – Downlaod FileZilla
    – Connect to the website using FTP inlog data, which you have received from your WebHoster (in my case YourHosting)
    – Download all the data about your website, in particular functions.php (or make one; see link above)
    – Change this in notepad
    – Upload it again by FileZilla

    And voilá!! You can login again!

    Ah thanks for the explanation. I solved it in a different way.. I looked up the table ‘wp_options’ (or something similair) in the database. In there, the site URL was in the first row. I changed it to what it should be and that worked aswell :)!

    I think I did something wrong again. Now I am able to login again, and the website is looking fine, but the program WordPress itself isn’t. If I want to edit pages ‘wysiwig’ options are shown like it html. If I press on html nothing happens. All the letters are white. I can’t change the status of the pages. I can’t activa the Maintance Mode plugin, nothing happens. I can’t even log out!

    I think I have accidently changed something when trying to get the original URL back. Can someone help me with this?
