I did this manually as the auto- update was not working. I followed the instructions on updating manually provided by WordPress. The site looks fine, when I am in the admin, it does not look like the new 3.8 admin and it still is telling me I need to update to 3.8 and the header menu bar says there is an update to be done. When I click on Visit Site and am looking at my home page, the header bar says there is no update to be done. So, for some reason, the admin is the old version but the site is the new version(?). Is it a caching issue? * Thank you for your help. Just to be sure – I checked on several computers that I never use for websites and the problem existed there as well. * I believe I followed the directions for the manual update correctly, I went through them step by step. Followed the update manually instructions including updating manually both plugins. Reactivated the plugins. No change on any browser or computer.
