 * Hello,
 * since this morning I’m having problems to log in. This is the error I’m getting:
   Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate
   491520 bytes) in /opt/www/myusername/web/www.mysite.com/wp-admin/menu.php on
   line 235
 * Is there a way to solve this? The site itself works.
 * Jvuz

 * I didn’t do any updates last weeks and as I recall I managed to access the admin
   page last week. Very strange 🙁

 * If you’re seeing this error either suddenly (no specific task was done to cause
   the error) or frequently, try [manually resetting your plugins](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F)
   to rule-out a plugin-specific issue and access your server via [FTP or SFTP](http://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients),
   navigate to `/wp-content/themes/` and rename the directory of your currently
   active theme. This will force the Twenty Ten theme to activate and hopefully
   rule-out a theme-specific issue.
 * Otherwise, here are three ways to increase PHP’s memory allocation:
 * 1. If you can edit or override the system `php.ini` file, increase the memory
   limit. For example, `memory_limit = 256M`
 * 2. If you cannot edit or override the system `php.ini` file, add `php_value memory_limit
   256M` to your `.htaccess` file.
 * 3. If neither of these work, it’s time to ask your hosting provider to temporarily
   increase PHP’s memory allocation on your account. Keep in mind that most decent
   hosting providers allocate 32 MB to PHP under each account, and most decent hosting
   providers allow users to temporarily increase the memory allocation. If your
   hosting provider won’t accommodate you, perhaps it’s time to find a new hosting
   provider.

 * thanks alot James. I solved it by disabling the plugins. I also discovered which
   plugins caused the problems, so I disabled them. The one I used a lot was events(
   [http://meandmymac.net/plugins/events/](http://meandmymac.net/plugins/events/)).
   As it gives problem with my site, I was wondering if you know another plugin
   where I could enter events.

 * I doubt you’ll be able to find a perfect replacement, but you could try this
   one:
 * [http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/events-calendar/](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/events-calendar/)

 * Thanks, but the board of out orchestra don’t like the calender (like it’s used).
   They prefer it to have showed like a list. but thanks anyway. I’ll probably have
   to create a table for it :(, I know that’s not the best option, but for now I
   don’t know anything better.
 * Thanks again,
    Jvuz
