    Good morning,

    I installed SiteKit and elected for it to place code/ads as opposed to manually doing so. It appears to have been set up fine. I applied to Adsense and was seemingly approved after them initially saying I had a content issue. They sent me an email asking me to install some code In between <head> and <head> whatever that means (I don’t know code). Assuming it was already installed due to SiteKit, I checked the button that indicated I installed the code. It didn’t work, and I got the same email this morning requesting that I install this code. I thought the whole point of SiteKit was to avoid this. Anyway, can someone kindly help me?

    Good morning to you also!

    It sounds like your AdSense account may not be fully approved at this moment if you’re being asked to insert ad code on your site. If so this messaging within the AdSense platform is normal if your site approval is pending. To add context to how the setup process works for users applying for site or account approval from Site Kit a user may be waiting for approval from the AdSense team. If so when visiting adsense.google.com and performing a check for an existing code snippet the AdSense platform won’t determine a snippet placed via Site Kit. That however doesn’t mean your site won’t serve ads once approved, it’s just a matter of waiting usually.

    If you want me to double check this feel free to share your Site Health information here or privately via this form. When checking your Site Health information there is an “AdSense Account Status” flag that is displayed, you can also check this yourself.

    From checking the details provided I can see the below status:
    adsense_account_status: graylisted

    Unfortunately based on your status isn’t something we can assist with in Site Kit plugin support. As it’s a status coming from the AdSense API you’ll need to reach out to the product experts at the AdSense Help Center. It may be something as simply as reviewing your account details. You may have received an email notification from the AdSense team also.
