We have installed Site Kit and connected AdSense, however AdSense continues to return an error saying they cannot find the AdSense code on our site. Under Site Kit settings for AdSense it shows our account status is approved and that the AdSense code has been placed on the site. What would prevent AdSense from being able to find the code in this instance?

Thanks for reaching out. If you’re checking for the Auto ads code placement from the AdSense platform directly then this is normal at present – if you’ve allowed Site Kit to insert your ad code and your account or site isn’t fully approved. As you’ve mentioned it states that your account is approved if you’d like to share the following information I’d be happy to check this furhter:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can share via this form if you prefer to share privately.
    2. When you access AdSense at adsense.google.com do you have any status for that particular site? (Home > Sites > Overview)

Note also that I can confirm the ad code has been placed on your site via Site Kit. Once we receive your Site Health information we can check if we notice anything unusual.

Thanks for your help, James. I have submitted the Site Health info via the form. I am unable to view the Sites portion of AdSense unless I resubmit for review that the AdSense code was placed.

Many thanks for sharing the additional details. From checking the details provided I don’t see anything obvious that would be causing the non placement of ads. From checking your site it looks like you have 2 different Auto ads code snippets placed, one via Site Kit. While I don’t think this would result in the non placement of ads best practices would indicate only inserting one snippet.

If you want to remove your manually inserted snippet I can provide you with some additional troubleshooting steps. Note that as we’re limited to Site Kit plugin support we’re limited to only the AdSense features within Site Kit these troubleshooting steps will only include third party plugin conflicts using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. Should we not find any conflict then you’ll need to raise a query with the product experts at the AdSense Help Center, who would have further insights into the non placement of ads.

As we didn’t receive a response I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to open a new support topic if you continue to encounter issues, or reopen this topic and we’d be happy to assist.
