    Hi,
I have created a bunch of popups for my domain.
All popups are loading in advance together with the startpage which results in a very bad performance of the website. I have a few linked popups in the footer but even popups that are not in the footer and not positioned on the startpage are loaded in advance.
How can I avoid this front loading and turn it in a loading on demand?

  • Hello @ralphvk – thanks for writing in!

You did not set any targeting conditions for the popup, hence, it uses the default which is to load everywhere.

To resolve this type of issue, targeting rule is the possible solution.

You will need to set the Targeting Condition to Pages: Selected and on the input field, simply select a specific page, that way, the popup will only be displayed on that page. To make it more clear for you, please see this screencast from my own test site: https://share.getcloudapp.com/OAuxp58d

For more insights, you can also check out this documentation about Standard Targeting Conditions.

If that helps, then we would very much appreciate it if you could quickly rate the plugin, just to help us spread the word.

Otherwise, for us to assist you further with your issue, you will need to escalate it directly to our HelpScout support desk. Check out this link: https://wppopupmaker.com/support/ Thank you.
