# Advanced Comments Interface

 * I really wish some developer would create a more advanced comment/discussion 
   interface. I use Disqus which I guess is considered the most advanced, but still,
   despite heavy traffic, I am at a very huge disadvantage against message board
   systems in my niche. I feel it is because message boards are so much more user
   friendly, with the ability to block-quote, italicize, bold, embed images etc.
   I can’t compete until someone develops a more advanced system for wordpress.

 * Thanks, I did not know about this. So would you say that using this would be 
   better than Disqus? What is the big fuss with Disqus supposed to be about? I 
   don’t see anything great about it at all.
 * And can you suggest any other plugins.

 * If you want to handle your comments and moderate them all on your site and be
   in charge of all the spam catching, use WP’s native comments. If you need more,
   and ways for people from twitter/facebook/whatever to log in and comment, Disqus
   is good for that.
 * I use BuddyPress mostly, so WP’s comment system’s my preferred method 🙂
 * Neither is better than the other, it’s just a ‘how do you want to do this?’ thing.
