# Advanced Editor error

 * Whenever I try the “Advanced Editor”, I get this popup error:
 * Please click into the cell that you want to edit using the “Advanced Editor”.
 * I am clicking into a cell, then clicking the button, but keep getting this error.
   Funny thing is, the Advanced Editor popped up without prompting once, or I did
   something I was unaware of.
 * Thanks for any help.

 * Oh, now I get it! Click into the cell AFTER clicking the “Advanced Editor” button!
   This really ought to be in FAQS, couldn’t find it anywhere. It’s a bit counter-
   intuitive, my instinct was to do it the other way around. Maybe make it work 
   either way?

 * thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.
 * I’d love to make it work the other way around, but unfortunately, the JS code
   doesn’t know in which cell the cursor was when you click the “Advanced Editor”
   button 🙁
