Hi wasmane,
Well, that may have several causes, but let’s start with the most obvious one. Have you tried ruling out a plugin or theme conflict? http://businessdirectoryplugin.com/support-forum/faq/how-to-check-for-plugin-and-theme-conflicts-with-bd/
Yes ! as you can see in the link i’m using a default theme and i have no other plugin installed. Its a new installation and i have only business directory in the plugins.
Others have had this similar problem as well. I remember it working correctly before 2.1.5 as well.
Well, I need some more information then.
– Please provide a screenshot of your field configuration (under Directory Admin->Manage Form Fields)
– What version of BD do you currently have installed?
– Version of PHP and WordPress?
– Windows or Linux hosting? After those are answered, I would also like to gain admin access to this site so we can take a closer look. Please submit the credentials to http://businessdirectoryplugin.com/contact/
IMPORTANT: Please link to this thread to provide context for your contact form email!@mickeyroush: The other similar problems have not been reproduced by us, nor were we able to see them on the user’s site, so we haven’t been able to make any fixes to date. If you have an example and would like to submit your site, please answer the above questions as well.
I’m using
Business Directory Plugin 2.1.5.2
PHP 5.2.17
WordPress 3.4.2
Apache 2.xIt’s possibly a plugin conflict as others have mentioned. I just don’t have time to go through them all on a live site. It just seems that every time there is an update something changes drastically and I don’t have time to look and see where the issue is. I could probably help you if I had the time, which I don’t right now. I found a work-around for me right now, so I don’t necessary need the built in search functions of the plugin. But others may not be able to find a work around if they come across this issue(s).
Please look at these links, they are probably related.

@mickeyroush: Well, if you are able to find some time to diagnose the problem, we may be able to help in a more useful way. I understand that it’s hard and takes time to find these things. We work very hard on compatibility and there are so many plugins out there that are not as diligent that it’s hard to keep BD running in all cases.
We have seen all the threads you noted above. Without specific examples or someone willing to find the conflicting plugin, it’s still difficult to solve the problem. We have one pending conflict with WP-PageNavi that we’re working on. Beyond that, I don’t know what to say. If the workaround you have works, I guess that’s good enough for now. Let us know if you want to go deeper into this.
@wasmane: Thanks, I will have my developer look into it.
Hi,
some news about my problem?
Thanks
According to my developer, this is addressed in 2.1.6. Please upgrade and try it again.
unfortunately, it doesn’t work 🙁 am I the only one that have this problem ? Its due to what ?
OK, I will have him take another look. Please leave the credentials active you already sent.
Ok Thank you so much. Its still active
Hi wasmane,
After taking a look, it seems that your Search Form has no fields that are defined to be in it, which explains why it’s empty. In 2.1.5, you can define which fields are allowed to be displayed on the search form. Yours had none, and we added a couple which now shows up on your site. You can manage that from Directory Admin->Manage Form Fields on your admin console. That should get you what you want.
Hi thank you so much for your reactivity. I really appreciate that. Best of luck
