# Advanced WordPress PHP learning resources

 * I’m currently pretty confident using WordPress, building themes/templates etc.
   But I want to get a little further than simply using the build in template tags
   and plugins.
 * Can you suggest any resources, books, websites etc. that can help me learn the
   basic PHP and MySQL stuff, as well as WordPress plugin development that will 
   help me move on to the next level?

 * find something you want to do.. then start doing it.

 * Thanks for your quick replies. I will definitely be ordering the book, exactly
   what I was looking for.
 * Any kind of concepts you would recommend I start out with. For a beginner PHP
   and MySQl looks like overly complicated beasts.
 * What would you say would be the first three things I should aim to understand/
   learn.
