it seems since to version 5.0.24 and 5.0.25 update Download Monitor plugin affects MailPoet (www.mailpoet.com/) URLs in emails. Regardless if it is a url to a download monitor download or to the WordPress media library.
as soon as I deactivate the plugin the URLs to a media library file in an email from mailpoet work normally again otherwise I get a 404 error

  • Hi @g_w,

Please try going to Settings > Permalinks in your WordPress dashboard and simply click “Save Changes” without modifying anything. This often helps resolve permalink-related issues.

If that doesn’t solve the problem, you can try installing an earlier version of Download Monitor (DLM). To do so, go to the following page.

Scroll down to Advanced Options and use the Previous Versions dropdown to download and install an older version.

Also, please note that the last two versions of Download Monitor did not include any changes that would trigger the kind of behavior you’re experiencing.

Let us know how it goes!

    Warm regards,

    Cristina

    Hi Cristina,

flushing the permalinks does not help. I have now first downloaded and activated 5.0. 23. combined a test (mailing with links) done. This worked. Then Download Monitor updated again to the 5.0. 25 version and again did a test mailing with links and these also seem to continue to work fine now…

    Greetings GW

@g_w – so basically turning it ON and OFF again fixed it?
