 * Hello,
 * First off, thanks so much for the free support!
I hate to sound moronic, but
every time I install a tar.gz or zip I get lost quickly. I have extracted the
files to c:/wordpress, and created the wp-config.php file within this directory
using the template provided. I don’t know where to go from here, and am simply
trying to post something at the tribrown.org website, and right now I have the
option to save and continue editing, and to save but not to publish anything.
I would like to finish the installation, be able to publish, etc. I really appreciate
your time and effort, I realize how much work this is, and it is a testament
to your dedication that you offer help to whoever needs. -Kate

 * Are you logged in as admin? Is there a button marked Publish where you write
your post? Do you get any error messages?
 * It sounds like your logged in with credentials that might not allow publishing…

 * I am logged in as myself, I created a user account, and there is no publish button.
How could I log in as admin? I thought it was an open source, and also how do
   I finish the download? Thanks!

 * I must have jumped the gun.
 * Issue 1) Are we talking about a working site (that you can visit at tribrown.
org)? What tar.gz or .zip (are you trying to upgrade WP)?
 * Issue 2) When WP first installed, it created an admin (a ‘root’ or ‘superuser’).
Are you the admin (or can you log in as admin)?
