# After launching install.php, I get error message Parse error: syntax error.

 * Hello!
    After launching install.php, I get the following error message: Parse
   error: syntax error, unexpected ‘.’, expecting ‘&’ or T_VARIABLE in /mnt/www/
   data/szlavika/www/wp-includes/functions.php on line 1086 I am not good in programming.
   Thank you for your help.

 * Is this a clean WordPress install? If so try re-uploading WordPress files, it
   might be that some files got corrupted as you uploaded.

    It looks like
   some of the WordPress files in your case got corrupted. Try reinstalling using
   the latest version of WordPress.
