 * Hello,
 * I’ve moved my site from HTTP to HTTPS.
    Now, all the like counters of Facebook
   and other social media shares are gone. In addition all my Facebook comments
   were gone. I’m using your FB tools. What should I do in order to bring them back?

 * That’s a common issue with Facebook. Since the sharing counts come directly from
   their API it’s not something we can fix in Jetpack. Facebook counts HTTP and
   HTTPS URLs as 2 different pages. They offer a work-around to fix such issues
   and get your sharing counts back:
    [https://developers.facebook.com/docs/sharing/webmasters/crawler#updating](https://developers.facebook.com/docs/sharing/webmasters/crawler#updating)
 * That’s a bit of a complicated set-up, though. I’ve consequently created a little
   plugin you could install on your site to make things a bit less cumbersome.
 * To get started, download this zip file to your computer:
    [https://github.com/automattic/jetpack-addons/archive/custom-og-urls.zip](https://github.com/automattic/jetpack-addons/archive/custom-og-urls.zip)
 * Then, go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin in your WordPress dashboard. There,
   upload and activate the zip file you downloaded earlier.
 * Once you have done so, you can follow the instructions here to use the plugin
   to modify the posts where you want to regain your old counts:
    [https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack-addons/blob/custom-og-urls/README.md#why-would-i-want-to-do-that](https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack-addons/blob/custom-og-urls/README.md#why-would-i-want-to-do-that)
 * Once you’ve done all that, you should be all set.
 * I’m sorry this is so complicated; unfortunately, that is one of the best ways
   to solve the issue on your post until Facebook updates the way they store sharing
   counts.
 * I hope this helps.
 * > In addition all my Facebook comments were gone.
 * I would recommend that you contact the author of your Facebook plugin about this,
   but I suspect the problem might be related.

 * Jeremy,
 * My old HTTP doesn’t exist anymore. So FB solution won’t work for me.
    On the
   other hand, your plugin require me to go manually over all the posts that I would
   like to regain the likes back. This would be a very long process. No other way?

 * You could use the same filter I used to change all posts at once, but then all
   your posts will keep referring to the old HTTP version, including the new ones:

 * Which does not exist 🙁
    I’ll keep on looking for a solution or will use yours
   for the last posts at least. Would your solution regain my FB comments back as
   well?

 * I don’t know, you would have to contact the author of the plugin you used to
   add those comments and ask them about it.
