    Hi @preshone,

I see Afterpay displaying on your cart page and checkout page. Per the plugin settings, Afterpay will show based on the billing country and currency that’s been selected.

For example, if USD is the store currency, billing country must be USD in order for Afterpay to show.

    Kind Regards,

ok, what if someone in Canada or the UK wanted to use afterpay – my website automatically change the currency based on the geo-location of my customers.

For example, if currency changes to CAD and the billing country is CAD, why doesn’t it work?

I just tested it and it didn’t work. I live in Canada and when I tested it CAD billing info it didn’t work.

    Thanks!

@preshone I don’t know what currency plugin you’re using by when I change my browser location to London it doesn’t show GBP, it still shows USD. I would expect your currency plugin to display GBP if my browser location is London.

Do you have any suggestions on how to go about testing this?

oh that’s strange. my currency plugin is https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/woo-multi-currency/

I can only test it with Canada & USA

I’ll test it out but I don’t think the issue is with the Stripe plugin.

I have contacted Stripe and asked them for confirmation about matching billing country and currency. Their documentation indicates that the billing country must match the currency but I have performed successful tests using a European building country and USD currency which would seem to indicate there is no validation there.

@preshone reach out to me via the help button located on any of the stripe plug-in settings pages.

You can help me test a live Afterpay payment using a Canadian billing address but with currency USD. That will show if Afterpay can be processed without the billing country matching the currency.

Update – I received a response from Stripe. They have confirmed that Afterpay can only be processed in the currency that corresponds to the country in which the Stripe account is registered.

For example, a Stripe account registered in Canada can only accept payments in CAD. This is a limitation of Afterpay.
