    Hi,

How can we have age categories that overlap? I need this because not all events have the same age categories. Some say Junior is 11-17, some say Junior is 11-14, with intermediate 15-17. Also, for some events men’s senior is 18-19, womens Senior1 is 18-24, senior2 is 25-29. I need to be able to set up different category-names but where the age might overlap another one.

    Thanks.

    Hi there,

Thanks for the message. The age categories are setup to not allow any overlapping this is because age grades are automatically calculated, if there are two grades overlapping, the plugin has a problem, which one do we pick.

However, I’ll take this into consideration for the next release and perhaps allow the user to “override” the suggested age grade category.

    Thanks again,

    Conor.

Thanks for the reply. The way we would need it to work is to have age-category by ‘sport’

    Track-age1
    Track-age2
    Track-age99
    Field-
    x-country-
    Road-running-
    etc.

So an ‘event’ falls within a ‘sport’. It is possible for us to have (especially with younger athletes) some in one age group for track and a slightly different, but overlapping age group, for field events, for example.

From a database point of view, the unique key would probably be
    Sport-Sex-Age_range ??
