 * We’re trying to use Autoptimize, ASYNC, and CriticalCSS on this site but my developer
notes that when checking off the box to aggregate into a single file, it’s still
   pushing into individual files.
Autoptimize is not currently connected in favor
of the SiteGround Optimization plugin which is correctly aggregating to a single
file, so you probably won’t be able to view from the console.
 * Is there any reason why this might happen that you can think of? We’d like to
continue to support Autoptimize for this project, but SG Optimizer is taking
   precedence at this point.
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Faggregate-css-javascript-in-a-single-file%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)

 * hard to say, but maybe disable SGO for a sec, enable AO (with aggregating options)
and do a test on webpagetest.org and share the resulting URL, so I can see what
   is or is not happening?

 * OK, try removing the default CSS optimization exclusions, that should fix most
   🙂

 * Okay, I unchecked “Aggregate all linked CSS-files? If this option is off, the
individual CSS-files will remain in place but will be minified.” Now, the only
checked item is the main CSS item and everything under remains unchecked. Can
   you check again please?

 * that’s not what I meant Tony as with that configuration the CSS will not be aggregated
at all. if you need all to be aggregated, re-enable “Aggregate all linked CSS-
files?” and remove the default CSS optimization exclusions (and specifically `
wp-content/uploads`)? when done re-run the webpagetest.org test so I can compare
   🙂

 * Actually doing that just got me an A rating and 92 score on GT Metrix.

 * Okay, now that I added Critical CSS with Autoptimize and ASYNC connected to Autoptimize,
it results in a 99 score and A rating.

 * Well, I’m at 60 with GPSI for mobile and 90 for desktop.

The mobile score needs to be 90. Hmmm…

 * Using ASYNC with async settings gets me to 97 and 72 GPSI scores and 98 GT Metrix.

 * It was the Google Fonts + Elementor that OMGF resolved that brought my mobile
score up to 92. Leaving SG Optimizer and Autoptimize enabled actually got me
to 100/A GT Metrix. Strange, but I’ll take it. 🙂
