    Hi gvwriter,

Those checkboxes control what boxes are displayed on any screen in WordPress. If you want a box such as All in One SEO Pack to be visible then you have to check it in Screen Options.

    Thanks for the prompt reply.

I get that and that’s what I’ve done. The real question I have is, do I need to enter all of the SEO information in the native WP SEO boxes as well as the AIO boxes? Or just the AIO boxes?

    Thanks.

p.s. how do i upload an image to this support page?

    Hi gvwriter,

WordPress doesn’t have any native SEO fields, thats why you have to use a plugin such as All in One SEO Pack.

    Hi wpsmort,
Okay then. So what I’ve done is accurate. Remove visability all of the other options that come with WP and only use the AIO. Correct?
    Thanks,

    Hi gvwriter,

That depends on your personal preferences. You use Screen Options to control what you want to see on each screen, it’s personal preference, there’s no right or wrong setting.

    Thanks for the URL.

But do you not see how this is confusing to a new user?

When I installed WP it came with (what would appear to be) SEO options [I know they’re not SEO options but they sure look that way to me...] on the Add New Post page:
Title Tag, Meta Description, Meta Keywords, Meta Robots, Canonical URL, … Excerpt, … etc…

Then when I installed the AIO SEO Pack it too comes with all of these “functions” and more…
    Title, Description, Keywords, Robots, etc…

So when I go to the Add New Post page all of the native WP options as well as the AIO SEO options are visible.

As far as I can tell there is no reference to the Screen Options in the AIO SEO pack documentation.

So back to my original question…
Do I enter in the native WP information AS WELL AS the AIO SEO information? Or just the AIO SEO? I’m thinking just the AIO SEO information.

    Hi gvwriter,

This sounds like you have some fields added through another plugin or your theme, those fields are not standard in WordPress, WordPress does not come with any SEO options at all. You’ll need to figure out where those options came from, check your theme and deactivate all other plugins.

    Hi wpsmort,
Good point. Never thought of that. I’m using Thesis. I’ll check with them and get back.
    Thanks!

Then that’s where those fields are coming from. Thesis has it’s own built in SEO. You’ll need to contact them for support as Thesis is a paid product.
