The only way I’ve found this possible is setting the Display galleries as a Basic ImageBrowser. This puts the image and the description I want on the page. The only problem now is that the image only displays for the first one. This looks like a problem so I hope that you wouldn’t mind checing to make sure that your site meets NextGen requirements [https://www.imagely.com/docs/requirements/](https://www.imagely.com/docs/requirements/) Also, please try to check for a plugin conflict by temporarily deactivating all the plugins excepting NextGen; * 2) You can achieve the thumbnails and the descriptions below with Basic Thumbnails gallery display type. When turning on the plugins again, it seems to conflict in some way with Jetpack interestingly.
