hi, thank you for the great plugin,

if I see here
https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/hide-pdf/
and here :
https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/add-new-package/package-settings/allow-access-access-control-option/
and as it worked before for me, this should avoid external users to access to the pdf when the file was added within wpdm.

even if I add it to only contributors, the external users can see it !

any way to debug that ?

Hi,
If you are uploading files through WPDM, only assigned/allowed users ( roles ) will be able to download the file. But if you are adding file as URL, wpdm can’t control it much as the URL is already publicly accessible.
Also, as it mentioned in the doc, allowed/selected roles from associated categories will be merged with package access. So, please check if All Visitors is selected for any of the associated category.
