So for those of you who don’t have a record of your scripts/css (and who don’t want to pay $60 for the Pro version just to overcome this problem) here’s a manual way to recover your scripts/css:
- Click the Custom CSS & JS menu item.
- Click All Custom Code
- Click the first entry
(You may see the actual code/css for a fraction of a second but then it’ll disappear.)
- Note your settings for where/how it is to be inserted (eg Header/Footer)
- Right click the page and choose to view the page source (the page’s HTML will appear).
- Use the Find/Page Search feature to find: <div class=”code-mirror-before”><div>
- On the next line you’ll see <textarea class=”wp-editor-area” id=”content” mode=”[this can say several things]” name=”content”> In between that and the </textarea> tag will be your code/css. You can copy and paste it in to your preferred header/footer plugin.
Ok, now I understood why you wanted to uninstall and install again. Because that didn’t make any sense.
Wait, I’ll make a new release and there you’ll be able to update without uninstalling and reinstalling again. I just avoided making a new release as I usually add more features/fixes so I don’t bother everyone with new releases.
Wait just 15 minutes.
So, I just released the 2.5 version. Please update and see if that solves the problem.
