Dudes, you almost have the perfect GDPR plugin.

However, there are some things you can implement to make it a lot better.

    1. Since the cookies are not normally activated until user accepts, you need to make a mid screen pop-up available instead of the bottom bar. With a bottom bar, they will just ignore it and you won’t get to track anything.

In fact, you can make the cookie settings popup the first thing to appear, without the use of a bar.

    2. When you open the cookie settings page, the X button is too obvious and you can also close it by clicking around it.

That wouldn’t be such a big problem if by closing it the plugin automatically denies all cookies! If the user simply clicks by mistake, there’s no way of him accepting the cookies.

    3. The popup should also keep reappearing on new pages until the user explicitly specifies that he does not want tracking and saves the settings. As long as he just closes it, he doesn’t actually deny the cookies so I can ask him again. But the plugin never does.

You might say that this isn’t GDPR compliant, but it is! Nowhere does it say that I can’t keep asking for that approval when he comes back.

If you would add these features the plugin would definitely benefit people more 🙂

Also, disabling the plugin on the cookie notice, terms of service, etc would be great. If I put a link and they want to read more, message keeps popping up.
